GainzAssist Privacy Policy

GainzAssist is a workout tracking app that helps users create workouts, track workout sessions, save progress, and view exercise-related video guidance.

1. Information We Collect

GainzAssist may collect or store the following information:

Account information: email address, user ID, and authentication provider information when you sign in.
Workout information: workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weight, workout sessions, and progress entered by you.
App activity and diagnostics: basic app usage, crash, performance, or diagnostic information through Firebase or related Google services, if enabled.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: GainzAssist (and integrated third-party services) stores, accesses, and collects information directly or indirectly on or from users’ devices, including by placing, accessing, or recognizing cookies or similar technology on users' devices or browsers.
Support information: information you choose to send by email when contacting support or requesting account/data deletion.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Create and manage your account.
Save and sync your workout data.
Restore your workouts when you sign in again.
Improve app stability and troubleshoot issues.
Respond to support and account deletion requests.

3. Third-Party Services

GainzAssist may use third-party services that process data according to their own policies:

Firebase Authentication: used for account login and authentication.
Firebase Realtime Database: used to store and sync workout data.
Firebase / Google services: may be used for analytics, diagnostics, or app functionality.
Google Sign-In: used if you choose to sign in with Google.
Facebook Login: used only if Facebook Login is enabled and you choose to sign in with Facebook.
YouTube API Services: used to search for and display public instructional workout videos. By using this feature, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. For more information on Google's privacy practices, please review the Google Privacy Policy. GainzAssist does not collect, share, or store any personal data or Google account information through its use of YouTube API Services. If you have authorized third-party access, you can manage or revoke it via the Google Security Settings.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by third-party service providers listed above only as needed to provide app functionality, authentication, storage, analytics, diagnostics, or support.

5. Data Retention

Workout and account-related data may be retained while your account remains active or as needed to provide the app’s features. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us using the instructions below.

7. Children’s Privacy

GainzAssist is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

We use Firebase and Google services to help protect and manage user data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
